Because of the COVID-19 outbreak, many people around the world avoid leaving home. Therefore we began to live in a reality reminiscent of the video game Death Stranding — a last year’s big hit created by Kojima Productions.

In a Death Stranding, the main protagonist portrayed by Norman Redus doesn’t have to wear a mask but because of the dangerous environment, he has to use other protective clothing.

As I write these words (March 1, 2020), the Wuhan coronavirus infected 87,000 people around the world, killing nearly 3,000 of them. Due to the very high infectivity of the virus and the long incubation time (of up to 14 days) during which the patient can spread the virus, one of the most effective weapons against SARS-CoV-2 is quarantine. The recommended quarantine applies to people returning from high-risk regions, but in places where the virus has been reported, people try to limit their stay outside the home. …
