How Do You Push Through?
-My personal rant to myself.
Tired. Lack of sleep. Barely functioning. But you have the grit to do what what you need to do. For a lot of us, balance between family and work is, how can I say this nicely.. Challenging. Yup. Challenging. The challenge is real when you have a family, mortgage, bills, and a mission to be financially free. What makes you drive to work for 45 minutes. Complete your job to the best of your ability for that day. Drive back home for 45 minutes. Spend time with your family. Then spend time with your mission? What drives you? Life Mission. That’s what will drive you to push through.
Here’s the deal though, I’m not the only one with situation. A lot of people are way more hungrier than me and has more passion to what they are doing. And some started way earlier than me. But now at 40 years old, I have felt the hunger to being financially free, and to steer away from that ladder. Common sense tells you that this move is dumb, even for me. Why not continue on to what you know? Stick to 9–5, then retire at 65. Send your kids to college then you can enjoy life.
Welp. That was the plan. Not no more. No mas. I have decided to push all the whatever time I have available in whatever that can generate extra income without much labor. passive as they say. But no such thing is passive. All requires work. Passive will come years from now, even then you’ll still require to put in time. I can probably say that I started believing in the power of passive income just a few months ago dealing with crypto currencies. I am now dabbling in little things here and there and putting my feet on that nice wet water, whatever water is there to get them wet. I read a quote from Abe and it struck a chord; that when Abe is going to cut a tree, he’s going to make sure his axe is sharp, and he will take 80 percent of his time to cut sharpen that axe. That’s not what the quote says by the way, but it’s something along those lines. And that’s where I’m at. The sharpening stage. I push through because I know I have to sharpen this axe… because I need that tree to build a house. not really but you get it. What’s your story? what pushes you?
