I whole-heartedly agree that you must “slay your dragons” first thing in the morning — but I’m a morning person, so perhaps I’m biased. The benefits of following such a strategy are compelling: 1) No anxiety throughout the day as the deadline approaches, and 2) No risk that you’ll miss the deadline. What could be better?
The one productivity tip I didn’t find in this crowdsourced list: Eliminate distractions. Many people struggle to get anything done with text messages, emails, and tweets coming in one after another throughout the day. It’s best to set aside specific periods of time for both working and answering communications. For me, an 80/20 split works best: 50 minutes spent working without distraction and 10 minutes spent replying to incoming communications.
Oh, I also found this very cute: “Board an airplane. (One without wifi.)”
