Deja Vu
Decoding the conscious reminder of our life lessons
Have I seen you again,
listened to you,
talked to you,
walked with you
why the deja vu?
Have we met in a past moment
fists pitted at you,
bottling words at you,
bows and arrows hurled at you,
Why the deja vu?
Have we known each other,
a role at par with you
played the songs to you
painting pictures of someone in you
Why the deja vu?
Have we worked together before,
shared the same house before,
turned tables together
shoved chairs at each other,
Why this deja vu?
Have you a poor memory like me
familarity of unknown history, see
similarity in unseen corners,
conscience of his and hers,
Why this deja vu?
Have I tempted you before,
Shown you worlds unknown,
Have you been pained by me
history repeats for me
Why this deja vu?
Have I left you alone,
isolate, bitterness, curse, borne,
fingers hurled at me, grinding teeth,
skies hears it, hurls at me
Why this deja vu?
Have you turned me away,
when I wanted to stay,
Your world was better than me,
thought that I could be fine
Why this deja vu?
My conscience plays tricks with me,
Shows me memories, taunts me,
You and I lived together and apart,
Breath left us, we stayed apart,
Why this deja vu?
Our roles were meant to be
We keep repeating history, be
better, relearning our lessons,
Repent or Repeat, mistakes dozen,
The reason for this deja vu.
