Thanks for this. This is my experience and you’ve eloquently explained what I’ve seen. Though I made the choice to leave rather than have the choice made for me (sorry), I too have sat in on countless meetings and discussions and shots in the dark to see what works and how to engage readers while also trying to drag my writers along with me onto the Internet AND bring in the ad money. And I’m now at loose ends trying to figure out how to do great journalism in the new landscape. So thanks for fighting the good fight and sharing.
