Website Re-design, Al Qasimi Foundation

December 2015

As the lead for the overhaul of the Foundation’s bi-lingual website, I researched best practices and web developers in the UAE. After executive leadership approved my recommendations, I worked with a Dubai-based contractor to customize a site that reflected the organization’s research priorities and community initiatives.

Because the Foundation’s stakeholders are extremely diverse, I emphasized the site’s navigation functions, particularly with regard to mobile and tablet devices. I created the wireframe for the 100+ page site; streamlined and created content; emphasized a marriage between functional and aesthetic elements; consulted for a customized management platform; edited text, images, and links; and led the team in in-house SEO efforts. Although I no longer oversee this site, the Foundation has been praised for the its online presence, which is regularly accessed from IP addresses around the world.
