You don’t always get what you want

I recently learned that in the book we call life, you don’t always get the ending you expect & you most certainly don’t always get what you want.

Closure doesn’t always happen, sometimes you’re just going to have to move on. You’re only responsible for doing what’s best for you, even if others get hurt in the process. It sucks, but anyone who wants you to live in misery in exchange for their happiness does not love you, they’re just selfish.

People may not always be genuine about their feelings for you, but they will always show you, pay attention.

Most importantly, I’ve learned the hard way, that just because someone wants you, it doesn’t mean they value you… & that is a painful truth to accept.

Last but not least, I’ve learned that eventually, unexpectedly, you’ll meet someone who was born with love of the waves within their blood. They will see you like the fierce sea you are, & they will not be afraid.
