Why We Don’t Need a ‘Netflix for Education’
Jay Lynch

Thoughtful piece Jay.

All facets of the education system are guilty of promoting inferior pedagogy: students that want to do what’s easy, teachers who rely on gut feel rather than evidence based practice, and institutions that need to keep these two cohorts happy.

Just wondering how you would define good learning measurement? Also as learning is so dependent on student input, how do you balance 1) effective practice that might lead to student attrition, and 2) less rigorous practices that entertain the student and hence get them to invest more effort into their learning?
