Solving my picky eater’s infuriating fussiness led us both to food sanity

The division of responsibility is great for kids who are just picky. However, there are many of us out there that have kids that truly have sensory related issues and their eating is not picky — it’s restrictive, resistant and classified as an eating disorder (ARFID). A picky eater when presented with the same meal will eat if they are hungry. A resistant eater will go hungry rather than try something new. I know this isn’t a large percentage but always appreciate when acknowledged that not all children are just picky or stubborn. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avoidant/restrictive_food_intake_disorder
