Fine white sand, azure waters and sun lounges that stretch as far as the eye can see- this is what you can expect when exploring the beaches of the Greek Islands.

Whilst a lot of the Eastern European and Mediterranean coastline is lined with pebbled beaches, those that are used to sand between their toes will feel at home in the Greek Islands.

With thousands of stunning beaches dotted along the coastline of the Greek Islands, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed when choosing the perfect beach to laze about on your Mediterranean holiday!

Forget spending hours searching for the ideal beach and take my word for it- these are hands down the best beaches in the Greek Islands!

Mylopotas Beach — Ios

It’s no secret that there’s more to Ios than the raging nightlife! The stretch of beach that runs along the front of the famous Far Out Beach Club provides respite for those needing a break from the abundance of pool parties, bars and clubs that call Ios home. Red Beach — Santorini

Iconic, unique and beautiful- Red Beach’s striking appearance will leave you seriously impressed! The unique colouring of the beach combined with the imposing red and black volcanic rock face looming over the shore will leave you in awe of this famous beach!

Marvel at the natural formation of the beach, hire a sun lounge for the afternoon or spend hours snorkelling through the underwater rock formations.

Seven kilometers of volcanic black sand seem to stretch on forever at Santorini’s famous ‘black beach’. Attracting local ‘naturists’ and bikini clad travellers alike, Paradise Beach is appropriately named due to its fine yellow sand and idyllic surroundings and has something for everyone! The crystal clear water glints turquoise and blue, inviting you to stray from your cocktail and the shade of your thatch umbrella. The only downside to Paradise Beach is that you it’s beauty makes it quite difficult to leave!
