Good lord, “beauty can be a curse”, says the glamorous author. Please. This might’ve been written under a pseudonym (without the adjacent glam shot!) What self-pitying, juvenile nonsense. It reads like a long-winded gaffe. Yes, obviously all positive traits could have some negative consequences; be it wealth, intelligence, or attractiveness. But even if it contains a few grains of truth, let’s not say it out loud. And certainly don’t blog about it. I encourage this author to watch The Elephant Man (1982) or Mask (1985). It might clear up some of her confusion. If the gifted could only learn to count their blessings. A little gratitude goes a long way.
