When you consider things like the stars, our affairs don’t seem to matter very much, do they? — Virginia Woolf

Today I am grateful for…

A Shooting Star. I took a few minutes to sit outside and saw the brightest shooting star. I’ve haven’t seen one like that in many years. It’s amazing how seeing it brought so many things to my mind. I remembered being a kid and all the hours I would spend gazing at the stars. I thought of all the drives across the desert at night. So many memories filled my mind. The infinite love and mercy of God and eternity also came to me, all from the beautiful, bright shooting star. I need to make sure the kids get outside and star gaze a lot more.

I’m Alive. As I contemplated that star I was also keenly aware of what a gift it is to simply be alive and how fragile life is.

Improved Communication Skills. Having conversations about the hard stuff is getting easier for me.
