Attitude of Gratitude Challenge: Day 6 — Writing My Way to a More Thankful Heart

At the end of day 6 I am grateful because:

1. My Van is Working! Manny has been working on our van for an eternity and a day. Serious. He has had one issue after another because of how rusty it is. He isn’t 100% finished with the brake job but almost and it is driveable now. I’m grateful for Manny’s sake that he is finished, and for the rest of us because we can go places now. Woot!

2. Manny and Diego. My heartstrings were pulled as I watched my now 14-year-old son work on the van with his dad. He is growing so fast. I loved seeing him learn beside his dad. Diego is a lot like Manny; they have the same personality. I enjoy seeing the two of them together.

3. Manny and Brother Isaac reminding me that God is in the small things. At different times and in different ways both Manny and Brother Isaac told me, “God is in the gentle breeze.” That’s the kind of reminder I need.
