Disney Stepped Out of Line: Now They Face The Consequences
“We must stop the Woke Disney Corporation”!! But, what if I told you Disney wasn’t actually “Woke”?
For those of you that may not know, Ron DeSantis, governor of Florida, has been on a very very public crusade against Disney for the past few months. But why? What could Ron possibly have against the Mouse?
Well, it all started with Florida’s outrageously controversial and blatantly homophobic “Don’t Say Gay Bill.” At first, Disney was quiet. They merely went about their days during the insanity in the background, producing movies, and carefully holding back any opinion. But, this strategy didn’t seem to be working out for them.
Many of their employees, activists, and the lgbtq+ community quickly pointed out that Disney was not only silent in this matter, but had contributed to Desantis previously.
So, either as a massive PR move or a realization that maybe a giant corporation shouldn’t be funding anti-lgbtq+ rhetoric and legislation, Disney finally spoke out.
