My Lawn Looks Awesome!
I don’t mean to brag — but holy green blades Batman! My lawn does look amazing. I mean, it looks as though it strutted straight out of a magazine and then planted itself right on my property. It is so stunningly green and manicured that I even find myself staring at it with wonder.
I know. It’s queer. But I don’t do it when the neighbors are outside, mowing and watering their lawns. I stare in wonder when no one’s looking. And why not? I had some hand in its transformation.
Well, almost a hand. I did do the dialing to the lawn maintenance company. I chose well because I did a bit of grunt work, scouring the Web, getting other customers’ feedbacks, and checking out other people’s lawns to find out which service they used.
You might find it unusual to do such an amount of work just to hire a lawn maintenance company. But you would be surprised at how much money you would save and the level of quality you will get when you take the time (not to mention the effort) to find the right service.
You might also ask, why go through all the trouble, just for the lawn? After all, you could get a kid to mow the lawn and sweep for fallen leaves or you could get your own kid to do yard work. Both will not cost as much as hiring a lawn maintenance company, and you don’t have to go looking all over town.
Here’s the thing about making a big fuss about the lawn: It can add 9 percent to your property value. When you intend to sell your home, down the line, it pays to invest in maintaining your lawn because it gives your property the kind of curb appeal that gets buyers to make that sizeable offer.
As for hiring a lawn maintenance service instead of getting some kid or my own kid to do the job, mowing and watering are not the only things that a lawn needs to go from good to great.
According to Bright Green Landscapes Inc., lawn care requires proper mowing, fertilization, mulch installation, brush trimming, and seasonal clean-ups. Each task calls for expertise to ensure that the job is done right. Know that even something as simple as mowing requires keen attention to cutting at the right height; cutting at the right height is determined by the type of grass planted on your lawn. I don’t think any kid from my neighborhood, unless they’ve been reading up on lawn mowing, would have such information.
Since I’m looking to sell my home, I wanted to add pops of color to it so I had to get a lawn maintenance company to do some landscaping as well. Flower beds were added along with pots of herbs.
