A letter to my mother

I want to thank you. You have made the biggest impact on my life. It’s pretty common for peoples children to say but I mean it. You have taught me how to be strong. That I don’t need anyone to depend on. You did it all by yourself with two kids with no help from anyone. You’re the strongest person I know and sometimes I feel like I don’t tell you how much I really do appreciate you.
I never really will understand how hard it was for you being a single mom at 21. Working over time just to pay your bills. Struggling but always giving my brother and I everything we ever needed. I don’t really remember those time because of how young I was but when you tell me story’s it makes me feel so proud to be your daughter. Thankfully you didn’t have to go through if for as long as it could’ve been because we all were blessed with my father who came into our life and took Trey and I in as his own and made sure we’d never have to struggle again.
Thank you
Thank you for always supporting me and being my biggest fan. Thank you for making sure I got to where ever I had to go whether is was my friends house or practice. Thank you for coming to all my soccer and basketball games despite how busy you might been with my brothers. Thank you for being my crying shoulder when I was upset. Thank you be all the laughter that we shared. Thank you for never leaving my side through thick and thin. Thank you for telling me when I was dumb and making a mistake. Thank you for being my bestfriend.
You’ll never realize how much I love you and how much I look up to you.
Sincerely, a letter from your daughter
