What I Discovered During a Month of Mindfulness

I love this! I have started to be more mindful during my commute. At first it felt odd — that’s my time to catch up on emails, facebook, etc. Standing on the train literally just thinking about my breath was painful at first. SO HARD. Its gotten easier, and I find that it helps me stay more proactive as I tackle my day, versus jumping in to reactive mode already, and arriving at the office stressed and worked up. It’s also increased by observations of the world around me, and opened me up to more opportunities to show others care and compassion (I feel like a total hippie saying that….but it’s true!)
