I am sorry. You died last night.
Pamela Day

Dear Pamela,

I was once with a friend when she was suddenly struck by a Stage 4 brain aneurysm. I stayed with her, held her hand and quietly spoke to her as she left this earth. Miraculously, my friend survived and eventually recovered. She never forgot my words, nor the sound of my voice as she was leaving us. We are inextricably bound by that experience. Last night, you were the same “angel’s voice” for Kate. I know what it meant to her, her family and friends.

It is deeply profound to experience what you did last night. I bet everything feels different today. I am thinking about you, too. Thank you for your goodness in looking after young Kate and for being an example of what is right in the world.
