I found a list of the top 100 audio stories of 2016. Within that list, I found a story where the hosts discuss the sixth Harry Potter book. They discuss the plot of the book, the rare funny parts of the book,inter-laying themes, and print vs. current media. This is just the first half of the podcast/episode that is available without downloading the rest of it.
I found this podcast to be interesting and relevant because Harry Potter is a series that is constantly talked about in the media. Whether people are re-reading the stories, or watching the Harry Potter weekend marathons on TV, or watching the newest addition to the world, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
I thought it was interesting how they discussed print within the book and how Harry was able to use written works and use them differently than the other characters, being the Half Blood Prince’s text book. They discuss how print is not to be trusted, using the defense against the dark arts book from book 5, and also Rita Skeeter’s articles.
These are relevant discussions because we can apply their discussions to nearly any book or any type of writing.
