How to set-up the “Mainframe” Color Theme in VSCode

Are you using VSCode? Do you miss the look and feel of Mainframe? Well, don’t fret. Here are 5 easy steps to achieve that “Mainframe feel” that you know and love. 💚 ❤️

Step #1: Download the IBM 3270 Font and install it in your PC.

Step #2: Install the COBOL Themes Pack VSCode Extension by Bitlang

Step #3: Set the Color Theme to “ISPF Inspired”.

Step #4: Go to settings.json and add the following:

"editor.fontFamily": "IBM 3270","editor.fontSize": 17,"editor.fontWeight": "bold","terminal.integrated.fontFamily": "Consolas"

Step #5: Save it.

And we’re done! You can now continue with your development! Enjoy! 😆
