Why the Rangers and Capitals are due for a switch in the standings

The Washington Capitals are a fan favorite for all hockey lovers in VA. and this year may just be their best year yet! So far the Capitals are in second place in the metropolitan division behind the NY Rangers. The good news is that the Capitals are only four points behind the Rangers.

Avalanche’s Gabriel Landeskog ejected after blindside hit on Bruins’ Brad Marchand

On Thursday nights Colorado and Boston game Gabriel Landeskog was ejected from the game a little early for a hit on Brad Marchand. The Department of Player Safety is reviewing the hit to see whether or not Landeskog of the Colorado Avalanche can play the next game. After the hit it started a brawl with both teams on the ice and several players were penalized.

Carey Price out at least one more week, lower-body injury doesn’t require surgery

Carey Price is considered one of the best goaltenders in the National Hockey League and on Tuesday Nov. 10 the Montreal Canadians announced that he will not be returning to play for another week. Price received a minor lower-body injury while playing Tuesday night and will need a week to recover from his injuries. Back-up goalie Mike Condon will take his place in the net for the next week or until Price can return.
