Sandalwood (Heart Chakra)

I made a healing paste from the charred edges of my wounded heart
Bringing life to what was undervalued, unloved
Gently rubbing the black shell away
Nurturing myself, exposing beauty in the break
An opportunity to appreciate things in a new light
Lines of wisdom across my forhead, a gift of new sight
Nature’s rich abundance, lush and green
Like my swirling heart centre, bursting open at the seams
Discovering freedom through liberation from pain
A phoenix rising from the ashes, able to love again
Arms stretched wide, unconditional compassion
To all of energy’s expression across existences expansiveness
A powerful Goddess inside, on gusty winds I fly
Vulnerable yet strong, embracing the darkness and the light
I scraped away the anger to make the healing paste
Like a shaman in the jungle the energy was rearranged
Open hearts and open minds, free communication
Gratitude, intention and acceptance, deep love and celebration
