Mastery
I don’t just want to placate people and patch up all their wounds
I want to free their wounds and turn them into jewels
They can string from a necklace to decorate themselves
With a collection of their experiences that influence their health
Each bead a precious lesson they can grow from and be wise
Accepting the tapestry of experience we move through in our lives
Our peaks and troughs a beautiful path we tread on every day
Each peak a new perspective we can look back on the way
Although the troughs may be dark and steep, we may not see the light
The end will come with releif and reward of new found sight
Our grief, our trauma, pain and sorrow don’t have to stay within
We can let go, find a new tomorrow, bright and liberating
