Location 1: Kiddokkio Cafe

Opened in 2020, Kiddokkio Cafe is a hip and modern cafe with a diverse number of dishes for you to choose from. We first ordered their Baniuniu Nutiulliu Crepe (left), a simple but beloved crepre filled with bananas and nutella. The crepe shell was cripsy, delightfully complimenting the sweet and fruity fillings! Then, we ordered another crepe, but in DIY form (right)! We decided to get a pandan-flavoured crepe filled with vanilla ince cream, milo powder, and rainbow sprinkles. Though its sounds weird, this combination was unexpectedly delicious. We highly recommend you to try making your own as well if you have a chance!

A sneak peak on how the staff prepare the crepe!

Location 2: TI.O.LI

Avocado Shake ($5.50)

Founded in July 2022, this Muslim-owned cafe “TI.O.LI” serves coocnut shake for those around in the Bukit Batok area. It is suitable for those who are halal but want to taste the tasty goodness of coconut. We bought their Avocado Coconut Shake for $5.50 with 50% sugar level. We love how the avocado didn’t overpower the coconut taste, making it pleasant for both avocado and coconut lovers. As a person who loves avocado, I don’t mind travelling all the way to their store to purchase some avocado shake! You should try it too!

Location 3: The Kuihmaker

Located at a newly built HDB, The Kuihmaker is a family-run business, passionately sharing the joy and art of hand-made kuihs!

The founder of this business :D

We have talked to the founder of the Kuihmaker and he showed and told us how much tasiter Kuih can be when made with fresh ingredients, proper methods, the right attitude (and of course, love!) as compared to factory produced kuihs!

We tried their Kuih Lompangs (in Red and Yellow), Talam Suji (in Brown and White), and Putri Salat Pulut Hitam (in Green and Brown). We all were awestruck by the smooth and rich texture of those kuihs! The texture were soft like a cloud with a distinctive coconut milk flavour. There was a subtle sweetness in each bite too, harmonising all the flavours into one tasty treat. Indeed, the quality of these home-made kuihs indisputably surpass the quality and taste of mass-produced kuihs! Don’t trust us? Come down to try it yourself!

Location 4: Lickers

What is dessert without any ice cream? In Lickers, they are committed to creating ice creams that connects people together. With a cup of delicious ice cream and time in their fun-filled area, they provide you with a break from the everyday stresses of work life.

We tried their Cookie Monster ice cream ($4). The flavour was rich, ending on a crisp and creamy note that satisfied all of our ice cream cravings!

Do you know, Lickers prides themselves on the fact that they make their ice cream solely from fresh milk, eggs, and flour? Slight changes in flavours are expected, as flavours depend on the fresh produce they can find! What are you waiting for? Come down to try their home-made ice cream!
