Meet the Leadership Academy: Holli Goldenberg

The Leadership Academy is JRA’s new non-profit leadership boot camp for young people looking to become more involved at JRA.
Together, the 11 participants of the aleph class are utilizing their unique talents to advance our common cause — supporting the neediest members of our community.
We sat down with one participant, Holli, to learn more about her and the program:
Where did you grow up? Where did you go to college?
I grew up in Northeast Philadelphia and then Montgomery County. I graduated from Temple University.
What’s your day job?
I teach first grade in Philadelphia.
Why are you part of the Leadership Academy?
JRA has always been a big part of my life. I did my Bat Mitzvah project there, volunteered with my High School Key Club and was excited to hear about another way I could be involved.
What kinds of projects are you hoping to work on with JRA?
I am hoping to help spice up social media and to encourage kids/teens who volunteer to continue volunteering with us.
Are there any special JRA memories you’d like to share? Why do you enjoy working at JRA?
I have great memories from my Bat Mitzvah project and volunteering in High School. I also came with my best friend and her mom in between and we really enjoyed that.
What’s your favorite dessert?
Anything fruity, like sorbet!
