Prepping for a New Year

At the end of the year, I always get ready for the new year by going over all of the things I have to get done, and all of the things I want to get done.

Since this is a blog about being a struggling author, I will focus primarily on the writing aspects of my never ending To Do List.

Last year was a bad year for writing. Not only was I coming out of a funk of postpartum depression, but I also got nailed with a huge blow to my writer ego. Perhaps, I’ll get into details about that later. At the moment, I’d rather not dive further into them in public because they are so deeply personal. I’m not ready to bravely show that battle scar. For now, just know it happened, and because I’m human, it messed me up — big time.

2016 is the year I’m going to take my creativity back! And with that, I’ve made a list of all the books I’m going to draft. I’m happy to share it, but be aware that I code all of my titles.

  • V spin-off
  • Gorgachan 1
  • B7
  • B8
  • KC
  • IL
  • Divine 2
  • Super Secret Project 1
  • Super Secret Project 2
  • Legacy 2
  • LL
  • Super Secret Project 3

Ambitious? Yes, very much so. I’ve got each one scheduled out on my calendar with projected word counts. I’m shooting for the moon. Even doing half of those things on the list will still be a huge step.
