Apple Watch words — back to an old fave

So, it’s a few days (at least) back with my old friend, as my Apple Watch is returned for repair (or most likely replacement).
I will say I’ve continued to miss it, since its fritz-out on Monday. The timer, the activity tracker, the heartbeat monitor — all regular parts of the routine. And yes, the time, too!
Yesterday resulted in the most heartfelt longing — an nearly all-day romp through downtown Seattle and later, the Sea-Tac airport, would have given me 20,000 steps, I just know it! And speaking of Seattle, and Philadelphia, and airports and airplanes, where I have spent the past ten days, I have observed a surprisingly large number of Apple Watches “in the wild”, as my friends at Wristly Research like to say. This included on an arm stuck out a car window in Philly traffic, on several arms reaching up or out in seats in front of me on my various flights, and just noticeably around on wrists as I was among the “gente” on both coasts.
Why more Apple Watches in the wild? Several explanations/factors come to mind which include more bare arms during the dog days of summer, my growing skills in spotting them, and even, maybe, an increasing popularity and growing installed base of Apple Watches out there!
So my Citizen, as we expect from a name associated with trust and stability, will serve me for the next few days, as I await the return of my smartwatch. And no doubt, more watchwords to come!!!
