While I do think the unwritten rule about not bunting to break up a no-hitter is dumb, I also think there’s a bit of context to consider. Jarrod Dyson, who as Joe mentions should ALWAYS be bunting for base hits, is a bit different than Ben Davis, who is a slow catcher and should never, ever bunt. It’s not a big difference, but I can see the argument that Dyson was doing what he should do anyway.
