But if I really do believe in individual responsibility and Jesus said to give to those who ask, I will at least do what I am responsible for. Then they are responsible for what was given.

And as you say, the Christian position IS we are all going to hell. We have done nothing to earn nor are worthy of the gift of salvation we have been given. As God has loved us we are expected to love others. Not because they have earned it, but because he loved and loves us first.

I wish more Christians actually acted like we say we believe, that we have all sinned.
