I agree that is a problem as well. We’ll have to disagree on whether my point is the same, an effect of what you point out, or an additional problem. Both issues may well be symptomatic of a greater root cause.
But it doesn’t change my point in the least. And it doesn’t alleviate the issue that Christians and Christian leaders have lost the trust and respect of this generation due to their own actions, due to their ability to apply the rules to everyone else and rationalizing the rules away from their own life. They became adept at the rules so they can justify why the rules don’t apply to them but do apply to everyone else.
