Sure, but none of this addresses my counter point. In your post, you try to extricate religion from racism as motivating factors. I am saying, within the people who practice the religion (particularly the racist south) it is often one and the same. I know Modernity loves to reduce, compartmentalize, and bifurcate things in a way that makes them seem unrelated. This is just not possible in this discussion.
