UI decisions, scrolling in mobile and otherwise.

I’ve been running into this issue a lot lately and it absolutely drives me nuts. You UI designers need to stop thinking I want to “page up/down” when I scroll through a page of a mobile app, website, or Flash site on either a mobile device or a PC.

Ever wonder why a teleprompter scrolls and not “pages”? Heck how many of you even know what a teleprompter is? Sometimes we want to keep our eyes at a certain level when we read. I know, we don’t get to do that when we read print. But guess what! This isn’t print!

Help us with that.

I’ll leave my annoyance for another time that some of you disable pinch to zoom within mobile apps and sites.
