KickUP Sports Accelerator Demo Day ‘17

Benfica’s sports accelerator, focused on shaping the next generation of sports entrepreneurs, presented the graduates of the its first cohort class at the Demo Day held at Benfica Museum. Seven sports startups pitched their vision and successes to an audience filled with investors, partners, mentors and media.

The startups coming from eight European countries presented their solutions to improve athletes performance, fan engagement, sports clubs efficiency & operations and esports.

The 12 week full-service program gave the opportunity to seven startups to build, execute and validate their business model, find the best international product & market fit, and get funding. This first cohort class was a dynamic mix of startups offering innovative solutions to the rapidly shifting sportsbiz and sportstech landscape.

The 2017 cohort class graduates are:

App On Screen: Interactive Fan Engagement and Brand Activation Solutions through real time mobile-to-screen experiences.

emjogo.pt: Digital platform that provides software solutions in order to improve communication, organization and image of sports clubs.

Football Tracker: Brings you amateur football, organised professionally. We are a full-stack football tournament & league management solution that helps event organisers to save their time, maximize revenues and engage fans.

gleetz.gg: The 1st professional social network 100% gaming & esports which connects all the actors of the industry on just one platform: fans, gamers, teams, companies and sponsors.

Neurotech Mindfulness: Provides a ‘mental coach’ app service for improving professional athlete’s performance by making use of an innovative neurodevice, artificial intelligence and mindfulness meditation-based training.

Sockapro: A patented system made to keep the shin guards in place during an entire football game needing nothing but the equipment sock.
