First of all, Happy New Year!! I bet (and hope) that you are puzzled by the title of this short article!
It all boils down to me wanting to share this brand new painting that I sporadically painted this week. Make sure to check out all the glazes.
If you think the pots are gray and brown, take a closer look, you will see green, red, orange, purple, and blue. It can only be accomplished by applying many thin coats of paint over and over again, which turns this little picture to a very advanced painting.
Hope you enjoy it!
Let’s see… When you are bored, what do you do? Do you make sure to have enough snacks with you? Do you read a book? Take a nap? Play on your phone? This can be an unexpectedly long list! So many options when you thought there is absolutely nothing to do…
What can be more boring than a long airplane ride? You are stuck in this metal tube and buckled to your seat most of the time. Can it get more monotonous than this? Getting to the point here: an artist has an unfair advantage, for instance, they can sketch.
One may wonder: what is there to sketch?? …
My 5x10" small rural landscape is on display in the Archway Gallery’s 10th annual juried exhibition July 2 — August 7, 2018. It is no longer available as it got sold during the opening reception, but it can be admired for the length of the show until the happy owner will take it to its new home.
