How Running Changed My Life

OK, so running doesn’t exactly have the best reputation. People seem to run because they think they have to, rather than freely wanting to run. I want that to change. I am a very stressed out person, almost anything can trigger stress for me nowadays. I needed to find a way to deal with the stress building up inside of me. The first thought that popped into my head was, “why not go for a run?” So, the next day I tied up my old running shoes and went on a mile run. That may not seem like a long run, but trust me, for someone who hadn’t run in months it was plenty long. I slowly built up my endurance and eventually I was going on 6 mile runs. Not only did I feel healthier, but running had also cleared out a ton of my stress. After my daily run, not only am I stress free, but I am also happier. As a teenager I feel like it’s very crucial to find a way to deal with the stress and angziety that the teenage years entail. But, no matter your age, if your ever looking for a way to de- stress, try going for a run!
