Hi Douglas, I know (Been arguing with Ron again). I wrote this because my daughter came to me with the same concerns. College really indoctrinates, and I explored what she and others could be feeling by writing about it. What came out was an imaginary conversation between a survivor of a concentration camp and her grand daughter. I guessed the ages and imagined the rest.

As an immigrant, Trump’s stand on immigration causes me concern. Perhaps that too came through in the imaginary conversation. I worked into the story, what could be a possible solution to the problem and that was the end of it.

Thank you for taking the time to reply, no doubt over the last few days I have read and understood much more of WWII than I had thought I needed to hear, laughing. But it’s all good. I do appreciate your time and effort.

On another tack, I’m want to improve my story telling. Did the story work? What do you think I should improve upon to make it more compelling? If you have the time, shoot me a line or two. I am more than grateful for the help.

J.
