How to become a fitness freak?
Are you a morning person? Who wakes up early and have a morning workout routine? I was not one till a while ago. But, now I don’t feel good if I miss my morning run. What made me this person?
I learnt several benefits of workout which pulled me towards getting started with it. However, it took some time for me to be there. If you are someone aspiring to start working out this blog might be helpful.
Get used to the routine: Don’t aim big, instead take very small steps. First, the only thing you should focus on is getting used to the routine.
Never miss workout 2 days in a row: Missing one day of workout is okay, but if you are missing it 2 days in a row. Then, this is the start of a new habit. Make sure you don’t fall into this.
Pain Recovery: If there are any pains in the muscles it is okay. However, if there are any pains in your joints, you should take expert advice and give it a break until you get better. Otherwise, the pains would aggravate and it would take much more time to recover.
Be with a group of people you want to be: If you want to be something, be with the group of people who are already good at it. I am fortunate to be part of an organization that has a lot of fitness freaks. I talk to people about what did I do today and ask them the same. This helped me in increasing my bar and also motivation to never even think of missing it a day.
Becoming this person: Initially, I tried applying 21 days rule. This means do something for 21 days and you will do it forever in your life. For whatever reasons this didn’t work for me. Instead, I read it somewhere that, don’t try to do something just to achieve a goal. Once, the goal is achieved you might or might not continue to do it.
Instead of running behind a goal, become a person who enjoy’s working out and can’t miss it.
I recently heard about a retired army major who doesn’t miss his morning run or walk NO MATTER WHAT. When it’s raining he goes on a walk with an umbrella. When it’s filled with mist he carries a torch with him. What a dedication!!!
Additional benefits of morning workouts apart from being healthy:
Feel fresh: I feel very fresh all through the day when I run.
Plenty of time: Earlier I used to wake up really late on weekends. Now I don’t miss to run even on weekends and if I go late it would be sunny and difficult to run. Hence my day starts early even on weekends. This means plenty of time.
I heard from someone that if you don’t take care of your body. It won’t take care of you. Start taking care of your body and lead a Happy and a Healthy life. I hope you got enough motivation and tips to get started with workouts.
P.S: After I wrote this blog I was on break for my morning run for some time. I didn’t feel like publishing this without doing it. Finally, I am publishing this after restarting it. Even blogging on this helped me to resurrect my run. Keep working out!! Keep blogging too!!
