Ah, but there’s horrible and there’s horrible — horribly stressful and horribly boring. My wife went from a job where she was living out of a suitcase four nights a week, putting in time on weekends when she was back in town just so she could stay almost caught up, and calling me at 9PM when she was on the road so she could cry in my ear or vent. When that office closed and we didn’t want to move to NJ, she went to work for a company within five minutes of home, workload that got done between 8 and 5, weekends free, and I would come home to supper cooking. She lasted almost seven months before she quit out of boredom. She talks about the first job with nostalgia and the second… she may have mentioned once or twice, maybe.
