I like candy canes. I keep a couple hanging off my monitor at work. They add color, and there is no way I am ever going to eat one of those stupid things. But! If I’m having a sugar crash, I can peel off the plastic wrap* and chomp one down quickly to get my blood sugar back up.
*Okay, actually it turned out that peeling the plastic off a candy cane is hard when your brain is sugar-deprived and stupid. Still, they’re pretty and last forever.
