Mine was a 1973 Mercury Bobcat, bronze, bought in 1978. Same car as a Pinto, different wheel treatments, I think. I bought a book on maintaining her, which was good, because I did that a lot. Installed a stereo tape deck, interval wiper kit, replaced the carburetor, changed oil and fluids several times (enough to always take my car to a garage or quicky oil change place thereafter), moved from one Navy assignment to another five times. At 83K miles she needed a quart of oil with every gas fill up and a quart of transmission fluid every other fill up, so she got traded in (for a $10 trade-in value) in 1986. Fond memories.
