A How Do You Say Sky
mountains against a how do you say sky
make me dream of things yet to be mine
naked yet veiled
vulnerable as hell
what can you say
this world is a jail
it is a like perfect fit
the sky to itself
above itself
beneath itself
all unto itself
look at that
it’s a sea in the sky
up so very high
pretty like nothing
i have ever seen
is it waves a crashin’
or clouds a smashin’
i honestly do not know
everything slows down
when one is around
such profound
things as i have seen
wish you were here with me
where they can’t touch
where it’s all hands off
like it was meant to be
more beautiful than everything

Wow this one brings back memories. I wrote this poem sitting in the window seat of an airplane. I was on my way to San Diego, Calif to surprise my Sister for her college graduation. After many trails and tribulations she was graduating, I to was set for a defining life moment as well my Senior High School Prom. As some of you may know I am a near life long resident of #NOLA and there was a date conflict with her graduation and my prom. Unbeknownst to my sister however I cancelled my prom date and surprised her. On the way to her I feel in love with A How Do You Say Sky…
