Why Is Syria Hell on Earth? Here’s The Ugly but True Answer…
Zaron Burnett III

Reading this is like reading about a large prison, where people trapped in a barren existence find nothing better to do than form gangs, which then fight over power-for-its-own-sake and re-litigate ancient slights and harms by violent means. No question that Europe did a bad job of carving up the ME, just as a warden might fail to isolate gang factions from one another. But ultimately, if a culture is going to revel in ignorance and religion, constantly digging up old rivalries and refusing to settle the fuck down and get about some kind of rational process for making life livable…it becomes difficult to sympathize. As with alcoholism or any other psychological affliction, the only source of real help and change has to come from within.
