Corporations need customers to buy what they are selling. If those customers continue to be slowly impoverished … culturally, emotionally and financially … they will cease to be very good at being customers.
What happens then? All’s well because I managed to get mine? That is a remarkably bankrupt perspective and ultimately … fully self-defeating. Any deal where one party wins all is one that will eventually fail. Failure might take time but is inevitable.
Our present circumstance demonstrates that failure is upon us. Evidence abounds that our leaders, in most every instance, demonstrate a level of self interest that is appalling.
