According to the Commission of Elections (Comelec), Lawyer Reynold Munsayac filed her candidacy as a substitute for Lakas-CMD’s vice president aspirant Lyle Uy.

Duterte-Carpio’s filing for vice president came after her withdrawal from the Davao City mayoral race last Tuesday and her resignation from regional party Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP) last Thursday.

Sara Duterte-Carpio will be the running mate of former senator and presidential aspirant Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. in Halalan 2022.

Taylor Swift releases “Red (Taylor’s Version),” re-recorded version of original

Taylor Swift released “Red (Taylor’s Version),” the re-recording of her original hit album, Friday, November 12, 2021.

Among the record’s whopping 30 tracks are the re-recorded originals, an acoustic version of “State of Grace,” eight “From The Vault” songs, which were written but didn’t make the final cut for the 2012 album and feature artists like Phoebe Bridgers and Ed Sheeran, and the highly-anticipated “All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor’s Version) (From The Vault).”

“Red (Taylor’s Version)” is the second of six expected re-recordings following the sale of Swift’s original masters from Big Machine, her former label, to Scooter Braun’s Ithaca Holdings.

Swift spoke against the sale in 2019, writing in a Tumblr post that it was done without her knowledge or consent and that it put her legacy “in the hands of someone who tried to dismantle it.”

“All Too Well: The Short Film,” a video accompanying the record’s infamous track five, also premiered last Friday.

McDonald’s CEO faces backlash after racist texts, says slain children failed by their parents

McDonald’s CEO Chris Kempczinski was criticized after being exposed for blaming the parents of two Black and Latino children killed in gun violence in a text message to Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot.

“With both, the parents failed those kids which I know is something you can’t say. Even harder to fix,” Kempczinski expressed in the text message.

The CEO was discussing the deaths of 7 year old Jaslyn Adams, who was shot while sitting in a car with her father in a McDonald’s parking lot in Chicago, and 13 year old Adam Toledo, who was shot by police last March.

Protesters from all over the country — including Illinois US Representative Bobby Rush and Byron Allen, a businessman who sued McDonald’s back in April — along with other community groups, have called for him to step down, calling the messages racist, ignorant, and unacceptable.

Kempczinski apologized several times after the texts surfaced, stating that not taking the time to think about this from their viewpoint was wrong and lacked the empathy and compassion he felt for these families.

Last Monday, the CEO allegedly had a town hall meeting with McDonald’s staff, but no specifics about the event have been disclosed.

Protestors and the media alike are still waiting for action to be taken on the matter.
