‘’I’m Cary Pasqualle, and my typical day starts with a leisurely walk in the park alongside my faithful companions, Buzz and Jazz, two pugs whose personalities are larger than their small frames. Following our morning stroll, we enjoy a hearty breakfast, after which I delve into my various ongoing projects. What I appreciate most about my current lifestyle is the flexibility it offers. It allows me the time to pursue my diverse interests, which encompass photography, mushroom foraging, art, and, of course, puzzle-solving. My academic journey led me to study journalism at Clarion University of Pennsylvania, where I earned my bachelor’s degree. After a stint dealing blackjack on casino boats, my father convinced me to continue my education at the University of South Florida, where I obtained my master’s degree in journalism.
Interestingly, I never officially entered the journalism field. Instead, I ventured into bartending and eventually became the owner and operator of a bar called Seabreeze II in Clearwater, FL. It was a learning experience where I realized the value of teamwork and the importance of seeking help when needed. After my time in the hospitality industry and a costly education in life, I made the decision to work for others. Today, I work part-time as a bartender at The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10093 in Safety Harbor, FL, and I also manage several properties. However, my most fulfilling “job” involves promoting new puzzle companies and assisting them in reaching the puzzle community. This transition in my life was driven by the realization that life is too short not to enjoy each day to the fullest. I chose a more flexible schedule with less stress, enabling me to spend quality time with my family and friends.
My passion for puzzles began at a young age, driven by the challenge and the rewarding feeling of solving intricate problems. Puzzles became a means to exercise my mind and offer both mental stimulation and relaxation. They are scattered throughout my house, but my favorite among them is the jigsaw puzzle, particularly wooden ones. The way these puzzles take shape as I assemble them is truly fascinating, and I love the evolving nature of the process. One of my earliest and fondest memories is solving jigsaw puzzles with my family during the cold winter months in Clarion, PA. It was a delightful bonding experience, and those moments have stayed with me.
