You are quite correct in your seven points.

One you may have missed: If (g)od is all-powerful and all-loving, why does he allow suffering?

  • If he is all-loving, he would not allow his creation to suffer. Therefore, he must not be all-powerful.
  • OTOH, if he _is_ all-powerful, but he doesn’t alleviate suffering … then what does that make him?

I ask my deeply-religious friends this whenever they encourage me to seek Jesus / become Muslim / find spiritual succor in _their_ religion. No satisfactory answer yet.
