Thank you for writing this C.J.! I’ve run into that same graphic 5 or 6 times in the last week with various people arguing about “fake news” and people all seem to be taking the placement of those various outlets as some sort of scientific study. It isn’t and even the woman that created it has stated “The fact that the chart is shareable does not necessarily make it TRUE.”

Unfortunately, what I see happening more and more is that people are missing her point about “fake news” and turning her chart into fake news all of it’s own.

To many people are focusing on what the chart shows and are ignoring the message that the chart was intended to relay.

A single golf clap? Or a long standing ovation?
