Caity, thank you so much for everything you do!

I still have a bit of a conundrum regarding the horrible thing we did to Japan. From the historical perspective I’ve learned, given the experience of Allied forces invading Japanese-occupied islands toward the end of the war, the estimates of how deadly invading Japan itself would have been — for both sides — seems to be credible.

Also, everything I’ve researched has said that while Hirohito himself was in favor of surrender early on, but his warmongering cabinet, headed by Tojo, was on the absolute other end of the spectrum, and was willing to keep all of the Japanese people fighting to their deaths.

I would be happy to see documentation that would show me I was wrong in my assessment.

I also share Paul Randall’s sentiments regarding the warmongering Corrupt Corporate States of Demopublica, at least in modern times. I am of the opinion that we are in fact more dangerous than previous regimes, which is why I’ve chosen to work for the Draft Bernie for a People’s Party movement. I’m 100% for taking down the corporate duopoly running this country.

On a side note, I find it ironic that Japan back then was mimicking the robber-baron US; the Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere was predominantly about oil. SMH…
