Mr Brass is wrong. We are losing (present tense, not ‘have lost’ past tense) the climate change debate because we are framing the debate in abstract terms instead of using concrete real-world examples. Because the debate is so abstract, all too many people are in denial about our ability to change the planet. What we need is to be talking (preaching) about the multitude of current, real-world ways in which easily visible human activities affect the planet on a global scale.
