As most people here know, this is a response to Alex St. John’s absurd arguments.
Alex St John has done a lot in the game industry. Not so much at Wild Tangent, but at Microsoft before that. He made them take gaming seriously, and pushed DirectX down their throats in an era when games were having to put up with an antiquated DOS.
He was uniquely able to do that because he is instinctively contrarian and provocative. I know he could bring those qualities to bear in his writing, but I can’t say he’s done it yet.
